Life Change #1: We are.....HOMEOWNERS! Officially!
You heard right! We are moving. and not only that we are moving TOMORROW! Ask me if everything is packed yet? Let's see... NOPE! I could count on more than two hands how many times I've freaked out about this. But for now, we need any help we can get today as well as tomorrow. On top of moving and finding a new home, Ryan has taken a temporary 2 week job that starts this Monday and it will help supplement our down payment and moving expenses. So I will be on my own for a good 10 days at least and I know that if anyone cares to keep me company while Ryan is bringing home the bacon, I would much appreciate it. I probably won't be staying at our home while he's gone, but I will be going there every night to work on sorting through our boxed up life.
Life Change #2: I've just started a new job this week!
I'm going to make this section short and sweet. I have just started on with our church, Souls Harbor, and have been under the wing of Miss Margo so she can teach me all her ways. I would hope and pray that those that are used to Margo's administrative excellence, will have patience whilst I am transitioning. Oh boy the changes life brings.
Life Change #3: I'm not pregnant!
Hahaha. Gotcha there.... you thought I said I WAS pregnant. Yeah no, not yet. There's two truths I know about having kids.. there's no perfect time. However, we'll be happy to have one whenever that time happens to be.
Super Duper Fun October Happenings:
Our Alabama Rock Climbing Trip & Ryan's 26th Birthday Scavenger Hunt!!
We had a blast a few weeks ago when Ryan and I took a 8 hour drive to spend the weekend with his Brother, Lance, and Sister-in-law, Nina along with a couple other of their friends. We camped in Sandrock, right off the side of the mountain and the sunrise and landscape was absolutely breathtaking. Ryan was inhibited a bit from climbing to his fullest because of a previous injury, but that boy was made for climbing rocks and he still had a great time. Plus we ate like kings thanks to all the preparation on Nina's part! That was awesome. And I got a chance to climb a bit too. Real rock! I did a pretty decent job accordingly to Ryan and Lance. It was just a great experience sharing in something that Ryan is so passionate about.
Ryan turned 26 this year! What an old man! I can hardly believe next year I'll be part of the quarter century club! Geezum! Anyway, I had a few tricks up my sleeve when I awoke Ryan at the "butt-crack" of dawn ...ahahaha. I handed him his first clue and said "Ryan, you're not gonna believe me, but it's time to get up." He growned and looked at the card and tucked it into his blanket as if he was going back to sleep! Once he found out the first stop was Starbucks, he was a BIT more inclined to get up. We went from Starbucks, to the lakefront for the sunrise. Then we had breakfast at Liz's Where Y'at Diner. Made our way to the Mandeville Trailhead Market, and blew off some steam on the trace by renting bikes from Shiver Shack. We made our way through the made of parents and kids at BooFest to find Lance & Nina, plus the ever adorable chitlins, Cole & Ellie. Our stomachs were growling by then, so the hunt lead us to a picnic lunch at the Fountainbleau State Park. We had plans to go to a restaurant in Old Covington, and my poor planning let me to discover they weren't open on Saturday's (dumb!) so instead we went to the Abita Brew Pub. A jammed packed birthday with plenty of present all along the way with every clue. So glad it worked out, and that Ryan enjoyed the quality time and memory making.
More pictures and details to come!
Sorry for all the lack of detail, but life is just so crazy nuts that I just needed to have peace of mind that the blog was updated at least a little bit and y'all will see and know the details later. I'll post more pictures and share more as time and life allows.
